Our Executive Team
Chief Executive Officer
Phil was appointed to the role of CEO of Melbourne Sports Hub in April 2016, bringing with him extensive senior executive leadership experience from a number of high-profile organisations.
His previous experience includes senior roles at the Sydney Olympics and Ticketmaster, as well as executive leadership positions at Westfield and Accenture.
In addition to Phil’s wealth of commercial experience, his past roles with Local Government, Regional Development Australia and a number of not-for-profits mean he is also adept at working with both the community and stakeholders.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Business and post-graduate business qualifications, is a Fellow of Leadership Victoria and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and CPA Australia.
He’s also a keen athlete and particularly enjoys running, group fitness training and trekking.
General Manager Facilities and Infrastructure
Adam was appointed to the role of General Manager of Facilities and Infrastructure of the State Sport Centres Trust in August 2016, bringing extensive senior management experience, facility design and construction expertise all from within the sports, fitness and leisure industry.
His previous experience includes CEO of Manningham YMCA and Centre Manager of Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre, which totalled 18 years’ experience within the YMCA.
Adam is extremely passionate about providing the community with first-class facilities so that people of all ages and abilities are given the opportunity to perform at their best.
In addition to Adam’s facility management experience, his CEO experience ensures that his attention to detail, governance and risk management practices provide safe and functional facilities to meet the needs of all patrons.
Adam holds a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Diploma of Management, and prides himself on giving back to the industry on both a professional and personal level.
Adam is a proud father of two girls and enjoys keeping fit by cycling, jogging and spending time with his family.
General Manager Corporate Services
Thomas was appointed to the role of GM Corporate Services in August 2016, having over 10 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry.
Prior to joining Melbourne Sports Hub he was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young working in the assurance division; assisting clients across a multitude of different industries including Sports, Mining and Aged Care. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Tom has a breadth of experience and continues to be heavily involved in both the community and sporting industry, playing local football and a voluntary member of the finance, risk and audit committee of a Victorian sporting association amongst other roles and interests.
He is a sporting enthusiast who loves to play and watch most sports and enjoys travelling.
General Manager Partnerships & Sales
Kate joined State Sport Centres Trust in April 2017 as General Manager of Partnerships & Sales. Kate leads the Event Management and Marketing areas of the organisation, as well as managing all stakeholders and State sporting partners.
Kate has been involved in sport and events for her whole career, most recently setting up the new National Netball League following previous roles with the Vixens and Netball Australia. Kate has also run her own event business and delivered cycling, marathon and triathlon events across Australia.
Kate’s involvement and passion for sport extends beyond her career, she has completed marathons, triathlons and ultra-marathons as well as being heavily involved in the recent launch and race-day management of Parkrun Torquay.
General Manager Human Resources
Belinda is a commercially-minded HR executive with a strong breadth of generalist experience across all areas of HR, including employee engagement, people management, cultural change, strategic planning and executive, health and wellbeing, employee development, risk and governance, recruitment and employment law. Belinda brings 20 years of HR expertise, including 9 years as a member of the Collingwood Football Club Executive team and a trusted advisor to the club CEO and President. Belinda has a strong coaching and mentoring focus, believing that engaged and motivated employees deliver results.
