MSAC Institute of Training's Sportfutures program offers traineeships designed to increase the knowledge and experience of people working in the sport and recreation industry. The traineeships are delivered via a flexible program of workplace based training that is customised to meet the needs of the individual.
Traineeships provide a professional qualification, a career path and the rare opportunity to be paid whilst studying. Generally lasting for 12 months, these flexible traineeships offer a minimum of 13-15 hours work per week.
To be eligible as a trainee, you must be able to give the minimum commitment of 13-15 hours per week, be available for training on Wednesdays and not hold a qualification higher than a Certificate II.
The number of trainees employed is dependant on the number of employment opportunities that Melbourne Sports Hub has available at the time.
Trainees have access to the full benefits of the Melbourne Sports Hub including:
- Flexible working hours
- Annual leave
- Personal leave
- Discounts at Melbourne Sports Hub retail stores and cafes
- Gym membership
- Free access to facilities
- Staff training allowance
SportFutures Traineeships offer experience in the following disciplines:
